Education: BS Degree in Education, Bemidji State University
Experience: 3rd Grade Teacher, Central Lutheran School since 2002
Biography: I am thrilled to be working at Central Lutheran School. All of my own children have attended school here. We live nearby in the city of St. Paul. I enjoy spending time with my family, teaching third grade, reading and traveling.
My greatest joy in working at a Christian school is being able to share the good news about Jesus with the children. The children here are a delight to work with, and are an encouragement to me, as I watch them witness to one another!

This month we will be reading a fiction book. The book must have chapters. After we have completed our books we will be building a book report sandwich! When you have finished your book, see me for the special papers.
* On the top slice of bread, each student will write the title and the author of the book the student has just finished reading.
* On the lettuce, the student will write a brief summary of the book.
* The student will write about the main character on the tomato slice.
* On the mayonnaise, the student will describe the book's setting.
* The student will share the book's climax on the Swiss cheese.
* On the ham slice, the student will describe the plot.
* On the bottom piece of bread, the student will draw a favorite scene from the story.

We also had a guest come and talk to us about butterflies. She came twice with butterflies for us to release. We had picture day! We also took a field trip to the Conservatory to observe and paint the water lillies in the impressionist style. All in all it was a great month, and we are off to a good start!
