Eugene W, Heuton
Education: B.A. in Education + 54 credits, Concordia College, St. Paul, MN -1979
Experience: CLS Fourth Grade 1979 - 1984
CLS Sixth Grade 1984 - 1986
CLS Eighth Grade 1986 - current
I was born in Austin, MN (SPAM Town USA) and was the youngest of four boys. I attended St. John's Lutheran School kindergarten through eighth grade. I graduated from Concordia Academy, St. Paul, MN and then received my AA from Austin Community College. I then spent seven years as a meat cutter at Wilson Foods Inc. in Albert Lea, MN. During this time I met and married Lynne Olson, and we had our first child, a daughter named Hillary. I returned to Concordia College, St. Paul, MN in 1977 and received my BA in Education in 1979. My first call was to Central Lutheran as the fourth grade teacher and art teacher in grades five and six. I served in this posistion for five years and then took the sixth grade position. Two years later I moved to eighth grade and took over the art in grades five through eight. In 1989 Lynne gave birth to our second child Kyle. Hillary is now married to Paul Sawyer and lives in Pittsfield, IL. Kyle is currently a senior at the University of Minnesota.
In my spare time I like to play softball, bowl, and follow my favorite Minnesota sports teams.
My greatest joy in working in a Christian School is the ability to share God's love with my students both in their times of trial and in their times of joy. Christ's love allows me to see and deal with them as the children of God.

Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy
40 A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”
41 Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.
43 Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: 44 “See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.” 45 Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.
