As a result of the changes made this year to the Hot Lunch Program at CLS, we need to approach ordering hot lunches in a new way.  The following are some useful tips that will help us to remember how to order hot lunches this year:

*Hot Lunch orders must be completed using this form.
*Orders are due in the school office every Tuesday by 3:00 p.m. for the following time period.
*Orders placed after this deadline cannot not be processed.
*Payment is due in full for each week’s order and is due at the time that it is submitted.  You can pay via Cash or a Check made payable to CLS.

Remember:  You must pay for your lunch in advance.

Please consider volunteering, as we need the help!  Volunteers can help with breakfast each day from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m.  Lunch helpers are needed at 10:45 a.m. to help with serving lunch.  Clean up will take until 1:00 p.m.  You can sign up to volunteer by calling the office at 651-645-8649.

The cost for meals offered at Central Lutheran School for the 2011-2012 school year are as follows:

• Regular Student Breakfast:  $1.50 per meal
  
• Regular Student Lunch:  $2.60 per meal
  
• Regular Adult Lunches:  $3.25 per meal
  
• Free/Reduced Lunch:  $0.40 per meal
  
  

Central Lutheran School particpates in the "Free and Reduced Lunch Program" offered by the State of Minnesota, administrated by School Nutrition Programs.  According to the guidelines of this program, if your child qualifies for Free/Reduced Meals and chooses to take an additional milk, the 2nd milk is charged at the full rate.

Ordering lunches is a little different this year.  If you would like to have your child eat hot lunch, you MUST submit your order every Tuesday by 3:00 p.m. for the following time period.  Full payment for your order must accompany the order form via cash or check.  Please separate your lunch payment from any other payment that you make to the school (ie:  tuition, ESC, preschool, etc...).  If you have any questions regarding this new program, please contact the school office. (Note: We do not have extra lunches on hand for students who have not placed an order. An alternative lunch may be provided.  In order to be good stewards of our resources (saving money and preventing food waste), we only order enough to cover the lunches requested.

and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
